Cocoa and cashew processing plants, the port of Abidjan, energy and construction companies recruit process and maintenance engineers, civil engineers, supply chain coordinators and QHSE managers.
As a civil engineer, you design and supervise roads, bridges, buildings, drainage and water networks. You produce calculations and drawings, prepare bills of quantities, and visit sites to check that works match the plans and standards. You work with architects, contractors, surveyors and client representatives.
Construction and public works firms, engineering consultancies, real estate developers, mining companies and infrastructure projects funded by development banks hire civil engineers. Design work can be done partly remotely, but most roles require regular presence on site.
