Who is hiring
Power utilities, energy and renewables companies, mining operations, telecom operators, construction firms and manufacturing plants hire electrical engineers. Most roles are on-site or field-based, while some design and consulting roles allow remote work.
Background and career path
Most hold a degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering, and registration with the engineering board is required in some countries. You can grow into lead engineer, project manager or maintenance and energy manager.
